Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds are available for logo design, website design, mobile app development, and e-commerce services purchased from Cubicyte ("Cubicyte," "we," "us," or "our"). It works alongside, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, which remain the governing agreement for any project. If anything here appears to conflict with a written proposal or agreement you've signed with us, the signed agreement controls.
2. Our Satisfaction Guarantee
Cubicyte offers a satisfaction guarantee on logo design, website design, and mobile app development services: if you're not satisfied with the delivered work, we will revise it with you until it's right. Where a project genuinely cannot be brought to a satisfactory outcome after good-faith revision attempts on both sides, a refund will be issued for the applicable service fee, less any deductions described in Section 4 below. There is no arbitrary cutoff date by which you must invoke this guarantee — we ask only that you raise concerns as they come up, so we can actually address them while the project is still active or freshly delivered.
3. What's Covered & What Isn't
The guarantee applies to the quality and completion of the work we deliver against the agreed scope. It does not cover:
- Change-of-mind requests unrelated to the quality of the delivered work (for example, deciding you no longer want a website at all after approving the design direction).
- Delays or incomplete outcomes caused by the client — such as late feedback, missing content or assets, or unresponsiveness — rather than by the quality of our work.
- Add-on scope, features, or revisions requested beyond what was included in the original proposal or agreement.
- Results that depend on factors outside our control, such as search engine rankings, app store approval decisions, or sales and conversion outcomes.
- Work that has already been approved in writing at a project milestone, unless a genuine defect in that approved work is later identified.
Refund eligibility is assessed on the specific circumstances of each project. We aim to be reasonable and to resolve concerns through revision wherever possible before a refund is considered.
4. Third-Party & Pass-Through Costs
Where a refund is approved, it covers our service fee. It does not cover costs we've already paid on your behalf to third parties, which are non-recoverable once incurred — for example, domain name registrations, paid stock assets or licensed fonts, premium plugins or themes, app store developer account fees, or hosting charges. Any such costs will be itemized and deducted from the refunded amount.
5. Deposits & Cancellations
Projects typically require an upfront deposit before work begins. If you cancel a project before any work has started, your deposit will be refunded in full. If you cancel after work has started, we will invoice for the work completed up to that point, and any deposit paid will be applied toward that amount; unused deposit funds beyond the work completed will be refunded. Fees for work already completed and delivered are generally non-refundable outside of the satisfaction guarantee described above.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at hello@cubicyte.com with your name, the project or invoice reference, and a description of the issue. We reply within 1 business day and will work with you directly to understand the concern — most requests are resolved through a revision before a refund is even necessary. If we agree a refund is warranted, we'll confirm the amount in writing before processing it.
7. Refund Method & Processing Time
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Once a refund is confirmed, we process it within 5–10 business days on our end; your bank or card provider may take additional time to reflect it in your account, which is outside of our control.
8. Chargebacks & Disputes
If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first — we'd much rather resolve it directly than have you go through your bank. Filing a chargeback for work that has been delivered as agreed, without first giving us the chance to address the issue, may result in a pause of any in-progress work and will be contested with the documentation of the agreed scope and delivered work.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For active or already-completed projects, the refund terms in place at the time of your project proposal will continue to apply to that engagement unless we agree otherwise in writing.
